As a Country Girl myself, I’m always at home photographing weddings where I can wear my wellies and there are any kind of animals involved.
It’s always a risk, having a wedding reception in a marquee in the UK, but Lizzie & Guy’s big day just goes to show that it really doesn’t matter…as long as you don’t mind being flexible to when photographs get done (and you have an awesome photographer that’s photographed tonnes of rainy weddings haha!!)
BRIDAL PREPARATIONS
I began capturing the day at Lizzie’s parent’s home in which was also where the wedding reception was taking place. There was a lovely atmosphere with all of the bridesmaids getting ready. I do love this time of day, the excitement is just so nice to be a part of.
WEDDING CEREMONY
The wedding ceremony was at Hartlebury Church, a lovely little traditional church close to the couple’s home. I do love a church confetti photo….always such a lovely backdrop!
WEDDING RECEPTION
Well, what can I say about Lizzie & Guy’s wedding reception! It was epic….full of fun and laughter, singing, dancing on tables…. exactly what a wedding reception should be. I always got to see the brilliant Christian Fletcher Magician doing his thing….which is always a pleasure.
We dodged the rain to capture some family portraits and I loved exploring around the farm to get some classic couple images. I was in my element surrounded by horses…it’s not every day you get to take photos with a Grand National winner in the background (yes Lizzie events on the fabulous Pineau de Re!
With my full day package, I stay until the first dance, and always a bit beyond if your guests are having a ball on the dance floor. I really love rounding off the day with some party shots.
